How we secure your data
We do our best to keep your Personal Data safe.
1. We rarely collect non-anonymous information that could be used to ‘identify’ you, and when we do we are very clear about what we’re collecting and why
2. We do not directly ‘store’ any personal information about individual users on any /server’ or other database operated directly by TeachThought, LLC.
3. The most frequent data we collect is used to communicate directly with you or send a newsletter you requested, confirmed the request, and otherwise directly signed up for.
4. We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as https).

TeachThought contracts expertise in cybersecurity that regularly reviews our safety protocol, identifies vulnerabilities, and makes any necessary changes/improvements to reduce threats to your data, our data as a company, and our shared experience as education professionals trying to work together in a sometimes dangerous social/digital/internet context. This security expertise responds to any malware attacks and/or data breaches, works closely with our Director Terrell Heick to identify threats/compromises, and reinforces practices and tools/technology to reduce the chance of future attacks.
6. We use anonymizing and pseudonymizing where suitable.
7. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks through both automated and non-automated means.
8. We use the very latest and most credible firewall and cybersecurity technology to protect everything related to TeachThought–including your data.
Even though we try our best, no company can guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.
